About Bear Creek Fencing & Backyard, A Utah Fencing Company
A Locally Owned Fencing Company in Utah
Bear Creek Fencing & Backyard, A Utah Fencing Company is a locally owned and operated fencing company proudly serving homeowners across Northern Utah. Being part of this community means more than just doing business here. It means taking pride in the homes, neighborhoods, and outdoor spaces we help improve.
Our work is focused on helping homeowners create fences that provide privacy, structure, and long-term value, while maintaining a clean, neighbor-friendly appearance within the surrounding community.
Eric Nicol
My name is Eric Nicol, owner of Bear Creek Fencing & Backyard, A Utah Fencing Company. My family and I have called Utah home for more than two decades. We’ve raised our children here, watched them grow through local schools and universities, and spent years enjoying the outdoors that make this state such a special place to live.
Living here has shaped the values that guide how we run our company—hard work, honesty, and attention to detail.
Because we live in the same communities we serve, every project matters. We’re not just installing fences; we’re helping shape the neighborhoods we’re part of. That’s why we take the time to understand each homeowner’s goals, answer questions, and recommend fencing solutions that truly fit the property.
A Thoughtful Approach to Every Fence Project
We believe the best results come from planning, not guesswork. Every property is different, and the right fence depends on how the space will be used, how the yard is laid out, and how the fence fits within the neighborhood.
Through our fence installation consultation, we help homeowners evaluate their options and make confident decisions before installation begins.

Local Knowledge That Makes a Difference
Utah’s climate and soil conditions can have a significant impact on how a fence performs over time. From seasonal temperature changes to ground movement and sun exposure, these factors all play a role in long-term durability.
Because we work throughout the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas, we’re able to recommend fencing solutions that are well-suited for local conditions, helping ensure your fence performs reliably for years to come.
